The Galway Clinic is a private hospital in Galway, opened in June 2004 by the surgeons who had founded the Blackrock Clinic in Dublin. It has about 136 beds and brought radiation therapy, cardiac surgery and PET/CT scanning to the west of Ireland for the first time, so its patients include people having heart and cancer treatment as well as planned surgery.
